Ingredients

  • 200g of unsalted butter

  • 200g of granulated sugar

  • 60ml of water

  • 100g of chopped nuts (e.g. almonds or walnuts)

  • 200g of semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

    • Candy thermometer
    • Baking sheet

    Instructions For Making Toffee Delight:

    • In a large saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, water, and a pinch of salt over medium heat.
    • Stir continuously with a wooden spoon until the mixture comes to a boil.
    • Once boiling, stop stirring and attach the candy thermometer to the side of the pan.
    • Cook until the temperature reaches 150°C (hard crack stage).
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped nuts quickly.
    • Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading it out evenly.
    • Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee and allow them to melt.
    • Once melted, use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the toffee surface.
    • Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
